The Queensland Government is now in caretaker mode until after the state election. Minimal updates will be made to this site until after the election results are declared.

The Queensland Government is addressing the planning issues and identifying ways to improve living conditions at One Mile on North Stradbroke Island.

The Department is working in partnership with the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC) and the Redland City Council to identify the most appropriate solution for One Mile residents.

Through this partnership a structure plan will be prepared for the area which will identify the preferred land uses for the area and provide the plans for infrastructure such as water, sanitation, roads and electricity.
